We arrived in Joplin on a Sunday evening after a 4-5 hour ride in our slightly warm van. :-) We settled in at the camp and watched the Joplin movie. It gave us a feel for what the people experienced in the storm.

It's an amazing sight to see a city blown away like that. I was really impressed with all the people I talked too. They were all grateful to God. The death total could have so easily been a lot higher. One lady, who's leg was sucked off in the storm, was quite happy to be alive! It was neat to see God working in her life. The day we were there she got a call saying she had a permanent job. It was amazing to see Gods hand in everything. We helped her with some yard work.

The girls ready to work

In the picture above you can see a very, very small part of the damage. I didn't take my camera with me when we were working, thus you don't get to see what we did. :(

No more nice trees. :-(

Lunch time

This little girl took a liking to Winston. It was so sweet, she preferred him over almost everyone else.
