Tennessee.....

......at last. We stayed at my uncle Verlon's house for 3 days.
They provided a much needed rest from our busy schedule the week before. Some of us were a little sick and all of us were taking drastic measures to avoid getting the dreaded cough. I'll tell you what we took if you really want to know....,,, but hey, it worked. It's only for the brave (or desperate).
Clarissa and Valonna  love art, here they are painting using instant coffee and water, of course almost everyone  else had to give it a try too.

Painting is great fun, especially if Jaren and Winston are helping. :-)

Most original award goes to Jaren who uniquely conveyed how a tough, stone age, hard headed man looks.
Second goes to Winston for his pig, affectionately named Porker.

Hiking...
Some of us love hiking....

...lots of cool rocks to climb...
... enjoying the beautiful outdoors...

... waterfalls!!!
Vishelle and Clarissa

It looks a lot bigger in real life.
You really don't know what it's like till you've been there.

The Big falls...majestic....
How many of you have noticed that when photographers go hiking they tend to be last in line?

...trees that never would or could grow so tall in Kansas.

Uncle Verlon and his wife Jerri got our whole family to go on this hike, much to my delight, especially when we're in a beautiful state like Tennessee.

Winston trying to improve my picture. :-/

Note: we are apparently better navigators then some.
Everyone loved this place, everyone that is but mom, there was a big drop off right behind where this picture was taken.

Clinton led the way...

Family!!

... the cousins lined up in age  :-)

Next we attended the Ministers Enrichment Weekend  in Macon Mississippi.
Uncle Verlons family was with us there too

We were blessed to hang out with this bunch of girls for 3 days. We had a great time!
Wish we could have all been feeling better... maybe next time.
Dear friends

Special thanks to Craig's family for showing us wonderful southern hospitality!
After 2 weeks of nice southern weather and friends new and old, we returned home.
